Terms of Service
Last updated: September 2026
1. The service
Manifesto ("we", "us") designs and builds websites for small businesses. You describe your business through our form and we produce a draft website for your review. We only take payment once you approve the result — as described in section 4.
2. How it works
- You submit our project form with details about your business, services and location.
- We build a draft website and share it with you for review.
- You request changes and we iterate until you are satisfied.
- You pay the agreed price (usually on a call or by invoice).
- We make the site live on your domain.
3. What we deliver
Depending on the package you choose, the deliverable is a website with the pages, features and copy described in the package summary. We aim to deliver in the timescales shown on our site, but these are estimates and may vary with your responsiveness.
4. Pricing and payment
- Prices are quoted "from" the amounts shown on our pricing page. Your final price is agreed before we begin and confirmed in writing.
- No payment is due until you approve the website. You are not charged for a draft you do not accept.
- Once you approve and pay, the website and its content are handed over to you (see section 7).
- All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated.
5. Revisions
Each package includes a reasonable number of revision rounds. Additional rounds may be quoted separately. We will always confirm the scope of revisions with you before proceeding.
6. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you own (or are licensed to use) any logo, images or text you supply to us.
- You are responsible for the content you publish on your website and for complying with laws that apply to your business.
- You must provide timely responses to our requests so we can complete the work.
7. Ownership and intellectual property
- Once you have paid in full, you own the final website, its design and its content, and may use, modify and transfer it freely.
- Until payment is made, the website and its design remain our property and may not be used commercially.
- Third-party assets (fonts, stock elements) are used under their own licences.
8. Domain names and hosting
You own your domain name. If we host your site (for example under a Care plan), we provide hosting, backups and security updates as described in that plan. You may move your website to another provider at any time, subject to any agreed term on a Care plan.
9. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or business interruption. Our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the amount you have paid us for that project.
10. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published here at the time of your project applies.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
